Let me show you how to eat healthy clean and smart! Spring Summer Rolls Recipe

Spring Summer Rolls Recipe…  Ingredients you will need are

2 ripe avocado’s, (Any grocery outlet or Sprouts)

1 lemon, (Sprouts)

1 bag of sesame paper roll,  (99 Ranch Market, Marukai or Asian store)

lite poppy-seed dressing, (Sprouts, whole foods or even at Walmart)

prawns or shrimp, (Trader Joes)

cucumber slices , (sprouts, whole foods)

lettuce, (sprouts, whole foods)

pepper (Trader Joes)

Total prep time 20 min till its ready to eat…

Begin by washing all vegetables in a strainer.  Cut your lettuce into strips or keep individually if you get Red Leaf Lettuce. Slice your cucumbers thinly, and cut your lemon into wedges.  Take your prawns or shrimp and rinse them in a strainer under cold water to get rid of any extra salt. Let them sit in water till they are room temp, or put them in a bowl of water and microwave for 1 minute.

BTW my recipes are low sodium I never add salt to anything…Your gasping right?…It’s ok you may pick your jaw up now,  my food is still delish and you wont bloat or retain water and still very flavorful! I will explain in another post why I don’t use salt. Something that happened to a family member which I wont go into now.

Next roll get your papers ready, put a thin coating of the poppyseed dressing on one half of the paper towards the end.  This will help seal it.  Dont get it to wet or your paper will rip on you. lay your lettuce, prawns, cucumbers and add your avocados.  Make sure you sprinkle a dash of lemon onto your avo’s so they don’t turn brown. Sprinkle some pepper. Next roll like a burrito, you can tuck the ends in and then roll.  Or open ones just roll it tightly.  You can put saran wrap under it  to help you or even a sushi maki bamboo screen that they use at sushi restaurants.

This is so easy your kid can do help you. Get your kids involved and make some memories!

That’s it how simple is that? The poppy seed dressing is just enough flavor.  For those in your family that like it hot, just add some dashes of their favorite hot sauce to it before rolling.
